A New Year and a New Name: The Polymathic Pursuit
With a typical 'bite-off-more-than-can-chew' goal for 2026
Hi everyone,
I hope your 2026 is off to a strong start.
Yesterday, I published the first India Positive Deep Dive of the year: ISRO: An Agency of Ambition (Part 1). It’s a look at how India’s space agency manages to achieve the impossible with scientific precision and poetic ambition.
As I was writing it, I realized that the name “India Positive” was too small a container for what I want to build here. To truly explore the future of our country and our species, I need to bring my whole self to the page. Therefore:
Welcome to The Polymathic Pursuit.
This is where art meets science, and love meets logic. It is a journey for the “Wordcels” and the “Shape Rotators” alike—those who love the rigor of technology but crave the soul of a poem.
What to expect in 2026: I am committing to a massive year of writing. Between my weekly India Positive reports, monthly Aithropocene deep dives on AI, the new Shadow Portraits column, and my creative archive in The Wanderer, I’ll be sharing over 100 pieces of literary work this year.
A Personal Goal: 5,000 readers and lovers of curiosity
I want to be transparent with you: As of this morning, there are exactly 46 of us here.
My dream for 2026 is to grow this community to 5,000 subscribers. It’s a big leap from 46, but I believe there are thousands of people out there who are tired of silos and are looking for this specific blend of logic and heart.
You are early. You were here when this was just a weekly newsletter about India’s progress. Whatever happens by December 31st 2026, I want you to know that you were the ones who saw the vision first.
If you find my work useful or moving this year, the best way you can help me reach that 5,000-mark is by sharing a post with one friend who thinks like us.
You don’t need to do anything to remain subscribed. If you only want certain sections, you can toggle them in your Substack Account Settings.
Thank you for all your love and support!
I’m thrilled to have you on this pursuit.
— Rohit
P.S. I’ve also moved the publication to a permanent home at read.rohitnalluri.com. You’ll see this URL in your browser from now on—it’s the same content, just with a better view.
